LCJ Logistics & Management (LCJLM) is looking for a Social Media Intern works alongside management to increase brand awareness through the usage of social media platforms

About our Company

LCJ Logistics and Management (LCJ) is a woman-owned small business located in New Jersey that specializes in fundraising, events, logistics & management, that provides support to charities, nonprofits and government organizations and clients across the United States. 

Social Media Intern responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Work alongside the team to create a plan for social media strategies monthly

  • Assist in the growth of the brand by raising awareness through various social media platforms

  • Monitor postings to ensure brand message is constant from the terminology used to images posted

  • Aid in the daily aspects of promoting the businesses campaigns/initiatives

  • Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions through the company's social pages

  • Assist in implementing plans to increase followers on popular social media websites such as but not limited to Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn

  • Conduct research as needed

Qualifications:

  • Individuals with experience and or college students majoring in business, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field

  • 1-2 years of social media management experience

  • Availability to intern for credit, if needed, with a minimum of 10 hours a week

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Professional certification in Google Analytics strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with multi-social posting through programs such as Hootsuite, Canva and HubSpot is a plus

  • Comfortable with working with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites

  • General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content

  • Entry level understanding of marketing strategy and how to use the concepts throughout various forms of outreach

  • Eager to learn, have a positive attitude, receptive to feedback

About our Internship Program:

Gain real-world experience working in PR and social media by interning for a quickly-growing non-profit/government-based company. Internships are offered seasonally for university students and qualified applicants. Internships are an opportunity to contribute to LCJ Management and Logistics’ daily operations, while learning more about the company. Support the LCJ Logistics & Management creative team in growing our online community by creating content, promoting our company, and building connections. This is a great opportunity to work with a powerhouse team in an up and coming company.

A Social Media Intern works alongside management to increase brand awareness through the usage of social media platforms. Many Social Media Interns will be given specific tasks related to the creation of social media postings decided upon during company meetings. Additionally, Social Media Interns give creative insight into topics to be included in a brand's editorial calendar and seek creative ways to spread the company's message or product. They use the information shared by management regarding the best course of action to promote the brand and in turn create conversation-starting post and images for social platforms.

Internship Logistics:

Job Type: Internship 

Payment: College or volunteer credit 

Schedule: Approximately 10 - hours per week
